Hannelore and I are leaving on Tuesday. This will be our itinerary during our very, very short, but very, very busy trip to Peru.
We will arrive on Wednesday evening in Lima. Thursday, we wil have some planning meetings to discuss our next extended outreach into Peru in the early part of 2009.
On November 7th, 2008 (evening) and November 8th, 2008 (all day and evening), we will be teaching a new course called "A Christ-Centered Life". We are expecting about 30 to 40 students which, with part-timers, could be as high as 100.
On November 9th, 2008 I will be preaching 2x in the morning services at Iglesia Biblica Emmanuel in Surco-Lima and 1x in the evening services at Iglesia de Dios in San Martin de Porres-Lima.
The next day, we will be travelling about 300 km north of Lima, to inspect some of the houses we built for single moms during our trip out in April/May. At the same time, we will be visiting our official campus in Barranca.
On November 11th, 2008, I will be preaching in Iglesia Biblica Emmanuel in Tablada de Lurin, situated in one of the sandhills surrounding Lima. At the same time, we will be checking out another pair of houses we built the last time we were there.
During the rest of our visit, we will have a number of planning meeting to deal with various on-going projects such as the exchange program between the Saskatchewan Cree and a jungle tribe in Peru, and our next housing project.
On November 12th, 2008, late at night, we are returning back to Canada.
Please pray for us.
Pastors John and Hannelore
