CONTINUED PROBLEMS

Sunday evening, we ministered in Iglesia de Dios in San Martin de Porres. Just before the service, Margaret slipped on the stairs inside the church and injured herself. The next day, we found out that she had two minor fractures in her ankle. She is now in a cast and walks with an arm crutch. Please pray for her.

As I still had some problems with my back, Christopher filled in preaching for me that Sunday evening. He did a fantastic job preaching about "Holiness" in a Pentecostal church. Pastor Pedro, who is the pastor of the church and a member on CHAKAM´s International Advisory Board, made an altar call request after Christopher´s preaching and more than 100 people responded.

Since Monday, we started to deliver our course on "Walking with God" in San Martin de Porres. We have about 20 students each evening.

In between preaching and teaching, Hannelore is nursing Margaret and she is doing the shopping and cooking. Hannelore is also in charge of coordinating the interpreter services. She is also negotiating the housing project. Yesterday, Hannelore bought five houses for five families. We hope that they will be constructed before we leave on May 21st, 2008. Hannelore is getting tired, but she is holding up well. We will need a deserved holiday when we are back.

With all the physical problems we encountered this time, I plead with everyone that visits our blog to pray fervently for the rest of our mission. Thanks.
